Of the many modalities I have learned, I would have to say Reiki is one of my absolute favorites. I very much enjoy giving and receiving a Reiki treatment. I also love the fact that I can give DISTANT REIKI sessions for those who do not live near enough to me for an in-person treatment. Distant Reiki is just as powerful as an in-person one!
Reiki (pronounced: ray-key) is a gentle and natural healing technique. The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words-Rei and Ki. Rei means supernatural force or spiritual intelligence, Ki means life energy. Quite simply, Reiki means spiritually guided life force energy.

It is a mostly hands-on technique, but can certainly be used without touching. A standard treatment includes placing the hands on positions around the head, shoulders, stomach, and feet. In addition, the practitioner may use other positions for specific concerns the client may have. Each position is held for between five and ten minutes and the entire treatment lasts between 45 minutes to an hour and a half. A treatment is deeply relaxing and benefits both the client and the practitioner. I know right after I give a Reiki treatment - I feel wonderful!

Reiki is an amazing energy that comes directly from the highest spiritual source. The practitioner neither takes energy from the client, nor gives away his or her own. It has its own intelligence and knows exactly where to go and what to do, so the hand positions are usually more for the client's enjoyment and relaxation. It is multi-dimensional and will heal the cause of a problem on whatever level it may exist - body, mind, or spirit. It does not have to be directed by the practitioner. It is a very simple yet powerful process that can be learned by anyone.

Anyone can learn Reiki, even young children. It does not require any special talent or academic excellence. Once you have learned Reiki you will never forget it and the energy is with you for the rest of your life whether you use it or not. Reiki is "passed on" by a Reiki Master by way of the atunement process.

Where does Reiki come from? Well, there are many stories of how Reiki is thought to have originated. The most common tells that Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddist monk, in the 1800's. Usui wanted to learn about healing as he knew monks at one time were known to heal the sick. He studied the teachings of monks as well as the sacred literature of China, Japan, India, and Tibet. Reiki came to him on the sacred mountain of Kuriyama in Japan.

I am a USUI Reiki Master (the more traditional form of Reiki). There are many off-shoot systems of Reiki and I am attuned to many of those as well. However, the one that I am MOST enthused about is Money Reiki.

I am one who works with Prosperity techniques often for both myself and my clients. I have found, though, that sometimes the techniques are more like a band-aid rather than changing things long-term. Therefor, adding Money Reiki TO any Prosperity techniques you are utilizing is way more powerful and lasting.
